@fredposner and @tylererickson recounted the #a2dda saga around publicly-available parking data, provided by a vendor to the city (Republic Parking).

Fred's phone app, Tyler's iPhone app (using Google AppEngine) blocked

swolchok@umich's A2Park app used Yahoo YQL to host scraped data, blocked

ajturner's Mapufacture maps mashup, not blocked

Interesting tie-in to previous P2P Clouds session - distribute the scrape! or use existing proxy network, e.g. Tor
