Big thanks to SPARK
and UM's Center for Entrepreneurship
for their generous support of ArbCamp 08! SPARK provided the venue, drinks, and split food costs with CFE, while many other folks volunteered their time, muscle, and office supplies to set up an explosive night of geek interaction.
And thanks to everyone who showed up, many of you unconference newbies, to connect in the dead of winter with a diverse crowd of your peers. And eat a ton of pizza.
Here's a quick summary of ArbCamp 08 by the numbers:
- 247 people pre-registered online
- 163 signed-in (although our process was admittedly lossy, especially during the 6 PM zerg rush)
- 96 different companies and organizations represented
- 30 pizzas devoured
- 30 half-hour talks in 3 hours
Online coverage of the event continues on Twitter
